Alex Samples - Instructor:

Originally from a small town in North Texas. Alex was not heavily recruited out of high school with only 1 walk-on offer from Navarro College. Making the most of his opportunity, Alex went on to be the everyday starting 3rd Baseman for 2 years at Navarro. After racking up numerous hitting records at Navarro, Alex signed with Steve Bieser at the University of Missouri (SEC). Alex brings knowledge of what it takes to develop and play in the SEC, on and off the field.

Alex attributes his knowledge of hitting from his life-long hitting coach/mentor and current Texas Rangers hitting coach, Luis Ortiz. Alex is passionate about learning and developing young hitters and fielders.
